I have the same problem so I can't really talk much, but you should add more melody. I like it when the melody comes in though. What program did you use?

Its very bizarre because everything I play is inserted directly into the desk so i assume its the audio interface or my mixing technique.

Its not my thing,

But if I wasn't me I would like it. Try to work on making the piece go somewhere. I really can't complain, because I do the same thing. Thats awesome how you used all those noises in it. Keep it up.

About the genre, it isn't dance, it sounds more like a sort of ambient thing. But thats just me maybe.
